Posture Reset
8 weeks · 10 sessions · Treated by Maya Lindqvist, with Dr. Nora Ellison
The starting point
Dev, 34, a software engineer working ten-hour days from a dining chair, arrived with constant neck ache, daily 4pm headaches and tingling in two fingers. His posture photos showed the classic forward-head, rounded-shoulder pattern.
The challenge
A workstation that fought him, deep-neck muscles that had effectively switched off, and a workload that would not shrink. Treatment had to fit around full-time work, not replace it.
The approach
- Week 1: photographic posture analysis plus a video-call workstation overhaul — monitor height, chair support, keyboard position.
- Weeks 2–5: deep-neck and scapular retraining in ten-minute daily drills, plus fortnightly manual therapy.
- Weeks 6–8: micro-break system for long coding days and a fitted lumbar cushion from our shop.
Results
- Headaches dropped from daily to roughly one a month.
- Forward-head posture reduced by 3cm on re-measurement.
- Finger tingling resolved completely by week 6.
“The desk fixes alone were worth it. The exercises take ten minutes and my neck finally feels like mine again.”
